Introduction

Round is the river, 2002, 150 x 200 x 250 cm, installation, Materials from the performance "Round is the river"Art project MoTeR.1 has been completed on the 26th of April 2002 while MoTeR.2 commences on October 5th 2002. On the 29th of June 2002, the Museum of Modern Greek Art has inaugurated a group exhibition - anthology from certain artists that have participated at the first cycle of MoTeR and others that are included at the upcoming second cycle of the project.

The opening of the exhibition took place at the same day of the inauguration of the museum's new venue -the "Nestoridion Melathron as it is called. Á significant number of renowned personalities from the contemporary Greek art field, artists, collectors, art historians and critics, journalists visited Rhodes and were guided at all Museum venues: the "Nestoridion Melathron", the historic Gallery and the Centre of Contemporary Art.

From the 5th till the 15th of August 2002, the summer exhibition along with its participating artists, traveled to Kastelorizo, where the Municipality of the island hosted the group show at the Cultural Centre of the island.

The exhibitions were curated by Polly Hatzimarkou, art historian.
